Ms du Plessis was first convicted back in December 2010 on possession of Ecstasy to sell at a EDM concert. Because this was her first ever conviction and being 19, she was sentenced to 12 months at Tarrengower Prison in Maldon, Victoria. After her release, she was convicted again for possession of Ecstasy in 2014 and was sentenced to a court ordered rehab facility for 12 months but was granted early release due to her behavior and was put on probation for 24 months. In November 2017, she failed her drug test with her PO and was taken into custody. A week later she was released on bail and would appear in court on December 12, 2017. She was then sentenced to 24 months at Dame Phylli’s Frost Centere in Ravenhall, Australia just west of Melbourne. Due to her mental health her lawyer was able to get her released to a minimum security prison after a few months. Then in December 2018, she was granted early release upon good behavior. After her release, cases were made against her for online scams and conning people into giving her money. She would pretend to be in need of money for rehab and would seduce men to fall in love with her in hopes of giving her money. She was then sentenced to 24 months in 2021 but was again released on good behavior after only serving 12 months. In 2024 during spring break, Ms du Plessis was snowboarding in Salt Lake City, Utah where she murdered her friend, Kyle Sanchez, a local ski instructor who was going to report her to the local authorities for possession of illegal drugs and money scams.
