Christine Monahan was convicted following a series of financially motivated property crimes committed over a six-month period. According to prosecutors, Monahan organized and carried out three nighttime commercial burglaries targeting small businesses after closing hours. Investigators said she and an accomplice forced entry into the buildings, stealing cash, electronics, and other merchandise with a combined value of approximately $85,000. The investigation linked Monahan to the crimes through surveillance footage, fingerprints recovered at one scene, cell phone location data, and several stolen items later discovered during a search of her apartment. She was also found to be in possession of burglary tools and property reported stolen from two of the businesses. The court also considered Monahan's refusal to accept responsibility during sentencing. After ordering several of the prison terms to run consecutively, the court imposed an aggregate sentence of 17 years in state prison, followed by a period of supervised release and restitution to the affected businesses.
