On this day, during the festivities of the Kingdom of Ariana, the public execution of Stella Sobieski—witch, heretic, and lesbian—was carried out in accordance with the sentence pronounced against her.
Informed at dawn, the condemned woman was clad in the silken garb of heretics and chained in the cell for those awaiting execution.
At four o'clock in the afternoon, she was handed over to the executioner, bound as prescribed, and taken kneeling in a cart to the Steps of Time, where she confessed her crimes and received the final anointing.
She was then led to the Royal Square, chained to the stake of a seven-foot pyre, and forced to witness the execution of her accomplice by garrote, while the faggots were set ablaze at five-thirty.
The flames reached the condemned woman at five-forty-two.
Subjected to the flames for a prolonged period in accordance with the sentence, she died at six-twenty-four; her body was reduced to ashes and scattered at the Cliffs of Oblivion.
