The condemned was let to the docks wearing a white robe with a leaded rope wound about her and placed in a barge to be rowed out into the harbor.

After rowing some ways from the shore she was pushed over the side

She sank instantly and struggled

After 2 minutes she tired

Her lungs filled with water

She Died

Her body was left in the water for 15 minutes

Her body was pulled to the surface


She was pulled back onto the barge

Her body was laid on the barge and rowed back to the dock

She was lifted up onto the pier

Placed in a simple coffin

Viewed by the Townspeople

The lid is nailed shut and she is given to her family for burial
